About The School

Murrayville Woodson Elementary School

As one of six elementary schools in the Jacksonville School District, Murrayville Woodson Elementary School serves grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Currently the school has an enrollment of approximately 170 students with one section for each grade level. Regular classrooms are self-contained with an average of 22-24 students per classroom. Murrayville Woodson Elementary has special education services available for all students who qualify.

Students are instructed daily by a team of excellent teachers and specialists. The students enjoy physical education daily, along with two visits each week to the school library and computer lab. An art specialist provides high quality instruction on a weekly basis and students participate in a music class weekly. Sixth grade students have the option of attending an instructional instrumental class weekly.

The Murrayville Woodson Elementary School mascot is the Wildcat. Students and families take great pride in honoring the Wildcat Mission Statement:
